Irene Tondelli is a photographer and curator based in Italy, whose artistic practice focuses on the human-nature-landscape triad. Her visual approach is characterised by methodical and careful research into unexplored territories.Through her work, she embraces the unconventional with the aim of creating interconnections between imaginary, historical and contemporary places. Nature is for her a Great Unknown: multifaceted, frightening, amusing.In 2022, Irene founded Iryt, a laboratory dedicated to nature-inspired art, which serves as an incubator for creative ideas and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Her work has been published in national and international catalogues, websites and magazines, and has received recognition through exhibitions in various galleries both in Italy and abroad.
