Mercè Hernández is a freelance painter from Barcelona who works mainly with oil. In her artistic work she meditates on the passage of time in the creative process. Painting for the artist means to seek the impossible, to create something from nothing, to realize that you can never start from scratch and that although sometimes we want to return to the previous step, we can only continue. Painting for her means succumbing to the temptation of the unknown, to the possibility of taking a wrong step, of falling into the abyss. The search for the perfect balance is always present in her work, along with an obsessive struggle between a wide range of colors.
