Johanna prefers the working technique of relief printing, especially the linocut. The original and artisanal in it she finds fascinating, but also the possibility of duplication appeals to her.

In her works she deals mainly with the human body reduced to surface and lines, she tries to alienate the body, the visual perception when looking at it interests her.

Her sources of inspiration are computer games with low resolution, but also disturbing impulses in film and in photography, such as image distortions, distortions, and distortion.
